San Jose is the tenth largest city in the United States and the third largest in California. Situated in the county seat of Santa Clara County, San Jose has, for the past several years, held the title of "The Safest Big City in America." The city is located at the south end of the San Francisco Bay, in Silicon Valley. Before western settlement, the land was inhabited by Ohlone Native Americans.
